Teens learn at retreat
This weekend, six teens from Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Goodman Avenue will join with teens from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lake George and St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Warrensburg for a special retreat at St. Mary's on the Lake, the Paulist Fathers retreat house on the east side of Lake George. The retreat will help prepare these young people to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Dec. 8 at St. James Catholic Church in Chestertown. Games, crafts and goodies
A Harvest Festival will be held on Friday, Oct. 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bolton Landing. It is open to the community. Each child is asked to bring a small to medium sized pumpkin which is untouched, as it will be used for a craft. There will be games and goodies to eat for the kids and adults are welcome to join in as well. Volunteers are needed for the crafts or adults can simply watch and enjoy some conversation with their neighbors. The Bolton After-School Program is sponsoring a Fall Festival for all the children of Bolton on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 1 - 4 p.m.All children of the community are asked to dress-up andmeet at the Bolton Fire House at 1 p.m. for a parade which will go from the fire house to the Episcopal ParishHall.In case of inclement weather, please meet at the Parish Hall.An adult must accompany all children. On Sunday, Oct. 14, The Friends of The Bolton Free Library hosted a guided bus/walking tour of North Bolton with Ted Caldwell. They visited Jacobi Park,Clay Meadows, Mormon Rock, The CCC Camp and Alma Farm. A lunch was catered by Lakeside Lodge and Grille in the library. The Friends sendmany thanks to Ted Caldwell, Lakeside Lodge & Grille, The Sagamore Resort and all who participated.
