100% valuation, it's only fair

Dear Editor, Candidates for the Johnsburg supervisor and town board have been reported to have great concern for the town's residents and their ability to pay their property taxes. Every land owner should pay their fair share but how can that happen if we are not assessed at full market value? Not being at 100 percent valuation also impacts on other money distributions coming to the town. The town has spent thousands of our dollars in the past for 100 percent valuations but the town board and supervisor chose not to accept them. Why? Will the new supervisor and board members do the right thing and put all property owners on an equal and fair valuation footing? I hope so. Warren Leigh
