ELCS continues to rebound

Elizabethtown-Lewis defeated Keene, 2-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference boys' soccer on Oct. 2.

Jake Hooper had a goal and an assist for ELCS, while Scott Morris netted a goal and Sam Beaton had an assist.

Brock Marvin secured the shut out with nine saves.

James Bell had 23 saves for Keene. ELCS had a 30-9 shot advantage.

Willsboro 8, Crown Point 1
Willsboro defeated Crown Point, 8-1, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference boys' soccer on Oct. 2.

Clay Sherman had a hat trick and an assist, Patrick Wells had a hat trick, and Dayne Hamel and Marko Bekcic each scored. Trevor Sheehan and Jordon Blanchard each had two assists.

Westport 5, Minerva-Newcomb 1
Westport defeated Minerva-Newcomb, 5-1, in nonleague boys soccer on Oct. 3.

Nathan Gay had two goals, Tanner Carroll had a goal and an assist, and Zach Sherman, Caroll and Alan Ware all scored. Colin MacIver made six saves.

Beekmantown defeated AuSable Valley, 4-1, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys' soccer on Oct. 2.

Ryan Murphy had one goal to put AVCS on the board, while Howard Labombard had 20 saves in a losing effort.

Crown Point 3, Keene 1
Crown Point defeated Keene, 3-1, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference boys' soccer on Oct. 4.

Sam Earl scored Keenes lone goal.

Schroon Lake 4, Westport 0
Schroon Lake shut out Westport, 4-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference boys' soccer on Oct. 4.

Colin MacIver blocked six shots for Westport.

Elizabethtown-Lewis shut out Willsboro, 3-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference boys' soccer on Oct. 4.

Steven Plank, Anders Nielsen and Cortland Mowery all scored, while Jake Hooper, P.J. Tromblee and Tanner Cassavaugh added assisted.
