Lady Lions stay on top of MVAC

Willsboro 3, Westport 2
Willsboro defeated Westport, 3-2, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 3.

Marion James scored two goals, while Sierra Bruno scored one, to lead the Lady Warriors.

Martha McKinley and Steffi Russell each scored for Westport.

Stevie Burrows had six saves for Willsboro to secure the win, while Molly Rascoe had seven saves for Westport.

Chazy 5, Keene 1
Chazy defeated Keene, 5-1, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 3.

Chazy held a 35-7 shot advantage. Helen Lawrence had 23 saves for Keene, while Jessica Caner scored Keenes lone goal.

AuSable Valley 6, Moriah 0
AuSable Valley defeated Moriah, 6-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer on Oct. 3.

Lindsey Keyser had a triple hat and an assist to pace the Lady Patriots. Sammy Ashline, Alexa Hachigan and Michelle Johnson also scored.

Jesse Walton recorded the shutout with three saves.

Elizabethtown-Lewis 3, Schroon Lake 1
Elizabethtown-Lewis defeated Schroon Lake, 3-1, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 5.

Kylie Rock scored two goals, and Brittany Pajak scored one. Courtney Marvin had two assists, and Kelsey Gibson added one.

Riley Diemand had four saves to record the win in net.

Willsboro 2, Keene 1
Willsboro defeated Keene, 2-1, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 5.

Ashley Sherman scored both goals for Willsboro, while Stephanie Marcotte had six saves for the win.

For Keene, Jessica Caner scored, and Helen Lawrence made 18 saves in net.

Chazy 7, Westport 0
Chazy shut out Westport, 7-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 5.

Chazy held a 27-2 shot advantage. Molly Rascoe made 14 saves for Westport in a losing effort.

NCCS 2, AuSable Valley 0
Northeastern Clinton shut out AuSable Valley, 2-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 5.
