Leicester assault case investigated

A motorist was reported to be operating erratically on Route 7 in Ferrisburgh. A trooper located the motorist in a pull-off area and determined he was tired, but not impaired or ill. The motorist had stopped to nap before driving farther.

Oct. 5
A Salisbury business reported a check had been stolen, forged and cashed at a store in another county.

A Starksboro resident reported her son had damaged the interior of the home and her car.

Oct. 6
A trooper investigated a report from a resident of Leicester that he was the victim of an assault. Statements were taken and an accused identified. The accused subject was not present and the investigation is continuing.

One car accident with injury, Dugway Road, Ripton.

Oct. 7
Troopers responded to a report of loud music at a residence on Lake Dunmore Road, Leicester. Subjects were spoken with and the music was turned down.

The convertible top of a parked car was slashed while parked at a residence on Oak Lane, Bristol. A suspect was interviewed and that person denied any involvement or knowledge of the vandalism.

Theft of a Nintendo Game System from a residence on North Cream Hill Road, Shoreham.

During a routine traffic stop on U.S. Route 7 for speeding, the operator Adam Therrien, age 23, of Brandon was taken into custody on an Arrest Warrant for two counts of Fishing Under Revocation, Failure to Appear. Therrien was also charged with Driving With A Suspended License and Possession of Marijuana. Therrien was lodged at the Addison County Jail.
