To the Times of Ti:
Having been involved in a boating mishap on July 31 on Lake George in the town of Ticonderoga I am compelled to write a letter of thanks in appreciation to all the people who came to the aid of myself and my co-worker in our time of need.
As a boatbuilder it is necessary to test all boats, including the one of unproven design I was testing. At the time of the accident I was controlling the vessel and feel badly that my co-worker and friend was injured as a result.
My thanks to Jeff Cook for making an attempt to help. Thanks can never be enough for the trouble it caused him.
Thank you to the people who came to our rescue and took us to shore.
Thank you to the fine people whose dock we were taken to for being so caring and thoughtful.
A special thank you to the Ticonderoga Emergency Squad, who showed graciousness, compassion and professionalism. Thank you to the ambulance personnel and the sheriffs department for their quick response. Thank you to Inter-Lakes Hospital personnel for their unselfish help and understanding.
To all the people who made any attempt to aid us or others who may have been in danger on that day, a heartfelt thanks goes out from me to you!
