Fresh bread adds to Farmers Green Market

PLATTSBURGH Russ Lewis of All-Fired Up is now selling his fresh, wood-fired brick oven bread at the Thursday Plattsburgh Farmers Green Market, located at the Plattsburgh Church of the Nazarene, 187 Broad St. Mr. Lewis uses organic flours and does all the mixing and kneading by hand. The jalapeno cheddar, french country, walnut wheat, sourdough rye, roasted rosemary garlic, and 12-grain breads are popular, as is his granola. The Plattsburgh Farmers Green Market continues with ready-to-eat soup and organic farmstead cheese from Clover Mead Farm; maple syrup, cream, and sugar from Atwood Maple Products; fresh vegetables and garden mums from Campbell's Greenhouse; fresh fruits and vegetables from Northern Orchards, free-range eggs and chickens and organically-grown fresh vegetables from Rehoboth Homestead; and grass-fed beef from Conroys Organics; as well as the bread and granola from All-Fired Up. The market is open from 3-6 p.m. through Thursday, Oct. 25. For more information, visit www.plattsburghfarmersmarket.com on-line
