QUEENSBURY Trappers Adirondack Grille, located at the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark, is seeking creative, Adirondack-inspired recipes for the second annual Trappers Adirondack Grille North Country Cook-Off, to be held at Trappers Adirondack Grille on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 12:30 p.m. The cook-off offers bakers, home cooks, and food aficionados an opportunity to submit their favorite Adirondack-themed recipes for possible inclusion on the new seasonal menu at Trappers Adirondack Grille. Recipe submissions should be sent to Joe Molnar, c/o Trappers Adirondack Grille North Country Cook-Off, 89 Six Flags Drive, Queensbury, NY 12804, or e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. All recipes must be received by Wednesday, Oct. 24 for consideration. All recipe submissions must have an Adirondack connection, or contain ingredients indigenous to the Adirondack region. Each recipe will be judged on four criteria: originality, flavor combinations, use of local ingredients, and presentation. Members of the community are invited to attend the North Country Cook-Off to sample new menu items, and one grand prize winner will be selected by a panel of judges. During the cook-off, finalists will prepare their Adirondack-inspired meals in the restaurants kitchen, under the supervision of Trappers chefs. The winning recipe will be added to the new seasonal menu at Trappers Adirondack Grille, and the recipes creator will help name the menu item. In addition, the creator of the winning recipe will receive an overnight stay for a family of four at the new Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark, including dinner at Trappers Adirondack Grille, and four season passes to The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom.
