Booby-trapped pot house raided in Monkton

On Oct. 3, the Vermont Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Vermont State Police in New Haven, executed a search warrant in Monkton at 454 Monkton Rd. Present at the house were residents Robert Warrington, age 45, and Marsha Brodeur, age 50. When the residence and property were searched, officers seized over two pounds of marijuana and two marijuana plants that were growing in the backyard. Officers also located two booby traps that consisted of boards with nails sticking out of them. Hay was used to hide the boards and nails from view. Warrington and Brodeur were arrested and cited in Addison County court for possession of marijuana and cultivation of marijuana. The pairs court date is set for Nov. 5 in Addison County.
