A festive spirit can be witnessed around town, as people decorate for fall with hay bales, cornstalks, pumpkin, etc. The cooler weather also seems to encourage homeowners to get those fix-up projects done.
I had a most delightful weekend trip this past week. My daughter Cindy Flanagan and I went to visit my granddaughters at their colleges. We visited Sarah Allen at Oneonta College, in Oneonta, NY, and Christie Flanagan at Western New England College, in Springfield, MA, and Amanda Flanagan at Siena College, in Loudonville. We had a tour of each campus and enjoyed a meal with each one of the girls. Also while in the Albany area had breakfast with grandson Joey Vanags.
The family of Ethel Doyle reported that her ninety-third birthday party was greatly enjoyed with around fifty guests attending. Her biggest surprise was when her grandaughter, Kathi Kellar and her husband, Stan, from California came to pick her up for the party. They were entertained by Penelope the Clown and Jason throughout the evening. Ethel wishes to thank everyone who helped to make her day so very special with cards, flowers, gifts and the party. The Wintermute family came together recently to celebrate Jack & Hollys fiftieth wedding anniversary, best wishes for many more years together.
Reminder that the Willsboro Methodist Church after-school program is starting up for the new season, you need to get your enrollment in soon, it started this past week.
