Three Selected for the Lake Placid Hall of Fame

Jack is married to Ulla Nordlof Kendrick and has a son Rhidian, who is a photo journalist. Jack and Ulla currently reside in Sweden.

Rusty was born in Chicago, IL, and studied at the Chicago School of Art. Following her marriage to native son Bill Hove, she moved to Lake Placid in 1953. After her husbands untimely death Rusty married John McKenna and is remembered lovingly as the mother of a large blended family. She was a member of the Lake Placid Club, the Lake Placid Garden Club and a board member of the Lake Placid North Elba Historical Society.

As an artist, Rusty created a plethora of work that is installed in public buildings, businesses, Olympic venues, churches and private homes. Rustys use of art to demonstrate her love and commitment to Lake Placid and its place in the world of winter sports is testimony to her numerous civic contributions. Her legacy can be seen in private collections and public spaces throughout Lake Placid and its vicinity. Rusty is survived by her husband John and her children and stepchildren.
