Old Adirondack signs on to support ORDA

LAKE PLACIDOld Adirondack, Inc., a Willsboro-based maker of authentic Adirondack cedar furniture, has formed a partnership with the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) as the official provider of the newly created Whiteface Adirondack Cedar Collection, ORDA announced Wednesday.

We are extremely pleased to be associated with ORDA, says Steve Maselli, president of Old Adirondack. Whiteface is a world-class facility and yet has a true regional Adirondack flavor. Similarly, Old Adirondack strives to be exemplary not only by our environmental responsibility, but also by promoting the regional iconic nature of our products. We hope that every time our customers sit in our chairs, they smell the cedar and remember the region."

Among its varied products, Old Adirondack, in consultation with ORDA, has created a special Whiteface collection of natural cedar furniture exclusively offered through ORDA. The new line will initially feature the Whiteface and Little Whiteface Chair (a smaller version of the Whiteface Chair) based on Old Adirondacks very popular de Stijl chair. The Whiteface collection will be manufactured at Old Adirondacks 26,500 square foot production facility and sold online (whiteface.com/chairs) and at Whiteface.

During the Whiteface Oktoberfest, Old Adirondacks Whiteface Collection debuted impressively to raving reviews.

Through this partnership Old Adirondack, Inc., will gain valuable exposure of their products at a premier ski destination, while Whiteface guests can enjoy the comfort of authentic Adirondack furnishings, said Bridget Hinman, Whiteface marketing manager.

The arrangement also includes joint marketing efforts enabling Old Adirondack to utilize ORDAs marks in its promotions, receive tickets and hospitality, benefits from advertisements in ORDA publications and signage at ORDA venues. Meanwhile, ORDA will insert a promotional brochure into each piece of furniture shipped from the Willsboro production facility as well as receiving complimentary chairs to be utilized in monthly online enter-to-win contests and giveaways at consumer ski shows.

Old Adirondack becomes the third new regional sponsor to be signed in recent months. Earlier this summer ORDA announced corporate partnerships with North Country Community College and Courtyard by Marriott.
