ELCS girls defeat Chazy

Schroon Lake 1, Keene 0
Schroon Lake shut out Keene, 2-1, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Sept. 28. Helen Lawrence record 13 saves for Keene in a losing effort.

Elizabethtown-Lewis 7, Westport 0
Elizabethtown-Lewis defeated Westport, 7-0, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Sept. 29. Kelsey Gibson scored four goals, while Jessica Pellerin, Farrell Crowningshield and Courtney Marvin all scored. Riley Diemand stopped two shots to preserve the shut out. Westport's Molly Rascoe made four saves.

Westport 3, Crown Point 0
Westport shut out Crown Point, 3-0, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 1. Steffi Russell scored two goals, while Morgan Robare scored one. Molly Rascoe had five saves to preserve the shutout.

Elizabethtown-Lewis 4, Keene 0
Elizabethtown-Lewis defeated Keene, 4-0, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 1. Kelsey Gibson, Kylie Rock, Ashli Kannebush and Jessica Pellerin all scored for the Lady Lions, while Riley Diemand had three saves for the shutout. Keene's Helen Lawrence blocked eighteen shots.

Peru 1, AuSable Valley 0
Peru shut out AuSable Valley, 1-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 1. Jessie Walton had ten saves in a losing effort for AVCS.

ELCS boys rack up points

Westport 3, Keene 0
Westport defeated Keene, 3-0, Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference boys' soccer on Sept. 26. Nathan Gay scored two goals while Zach Sherman added a goal and an assist. Colin MacIver recorded the shutout with six saves. James Bell had sixteen saves in a losing effort for Keene.

Chazy 5, Willsboro 0
Chazy shut out Willsboro, 5-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference boys' soccer on Sept. 26. Chazy held a 18-4 shot advantage. Kyle Russell stopped thirteen shots for Willsboro.

Elizabethtown-Lewis 9, Wells 0
Elizabethtown-Lewis shut out Wells, 9-0, in nonleague boys soccer on Sept. 26. Michael Gowdy had a hat trick, Jake Hooper scored two goals, and Evan Drew, Andrew Kerr, Anders Nielsen and Scott Morris had one goal each. Tanner Cassavaugh picked up three assists. Brock Marvin secured the shut out with six saves.
