Beautiful flowers bring cheer

WARRENSBURG New plants will provide a cheerful welcome for people turning into the long drive to reach the Countryside Adult Care Home or Cornell Cooperative Extension in Warrensburg.

A group of master gardeners from the cooperative extension recently planted some hardy perennials such as feverfew, black-eyed Susan, daisies, yarrow, gaillardia, Stella Doro and cone flower around the driveway entrance sign. Its hoped that all plants will weather through to spring when they plan to add additional plants from both facilities. Clearing away and preparing the bed around the sign began as a dual effort by both Countryside and the cooperative extension and were assisted by teen age youth over the summer from YouthWorks.
