Musical harvest is bountiful at the 'Made in Vermont Music Festival'

The Vermont Fiddle Orchestra is holding its Fall Foliage Concert on October 6, starting at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier. Tickets for adults cost $6 and children under the age of 16 get in free. Purchase tickets by phone by calling 877-343-3531.

Classical guitarist Jack Sanders will be playing a Sunday afternoon Concert on October 28 at the South Burlington Community Library, beginning at 2 p.m. The concert will be free. For more information please contact the South Burlington Community Library at 802-652-7076.

On November 1, the Memorial Auditorium in Burlington will play host to a West African Dance and Drum Festival featuring music and dance from Mali, Senegal and Guinea. The festival starts on Thursday, November 1 and concludes on Saturday, November 3 with a dance party at Nectars nightclub.

The festival, in addition to featuring concerts, also includes various workshops for those wishing to learn West African dance traditions. For more information call 859-1802.
