GMP asks for rate increase

Green Mountain Power asked the Vermont Public Service Board to authorize a 0.93 percent rate adjustment to go into effect on Jan. 1, 2008, as part of its alternative regulation plan. The request was made last week Green Mountain Power's overall costs have remained steady, while customer use is projected to decrease, reflecting the success of efficiency investments by our customers. As a result, the cost per unit of electricity consumed will rise slightly.
