Elections are now behind us. We congratulate our new elected officials, welcome to a new Supervisor Lori Lincoln Torrance. We would also like to thank Robert Ashline for his years of service to our community. The election is still not final until the absentees are counted for the councilmen seats. Veterans of our community were honored on Veterans Day with a meaningful program and dinner. John Remancus was honored as the oldest living World War II Veteran at the age of 96. A meaningful message was delivered by Senior Master Sergeant Dwight Rolston. All of the W.W.II Veterans were honored as special guests, we have 19 in our community. We welcome Tom and Sheri Madison to our community they are now living in the former home of Joe Bierne on Mt. View Drive. Sorry to hear of Robert Saywards encounter with one of his saws, some of his fingers took the hit, hopeful you have a good recovery. Reminder of the School Play Annie this weekend. Also the Holiday Craft Sale and Luncheons this weekend at the Willsboro United Methodist Church and the St. Philips Catholic Church. All interested persons are invited to an Ecumenical Thanksgiving service for all area churches at the Foothills Baptist Church on Rt. 22, Boquet, N.Y., on Sunday Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. There will be an offering taken for the local food pantry (you can bring canned food or money).
