What a long store trip it's been

Saturday night, 9:30 p.m. - After a long day of preparing this very special dinner as well as serving our local clientele, we are ready to prepare the fish and package everything up for the journey to Albany and the RatDog show. By 10 p.m. we have the truck loaded, each dinner marked for each member of the RatDog crew and we are heading south when we realize that we forgot Mrs. Andersons shopping list once again. There was no time to turn back we needed to be there at 11 p.m. sharp and get the food loaded onto Bob Weirs tour busses. RULE #4: NEVER forget rule number one!

We arrived at the Palace on time and Weirs manager Dennis McNally greets us and escorts us backstage where we catch the last part of RatDogs great show. After the encores, Erin, Paulie T and I hang out with the band backstage while they have a meet and greet and unwind after one more Saturday night. While scores of young neo-hippie girls have autographs signed, I encourage Paulie T to have the entire band sign his RatDog tee shirt. With our crew in tow, McNally gets the band on the busses so they can start eating all the goods we shopped for.

Before we can get back in our vehicle, I get a call from McNally who is thanking me once again as RatDog and company enjoy their spread. You made me look good! McNally says, They love it! Mission one accomplished! Except for one thing: In all the hustle and bustle, we forgot to feed ourselves! So after cooking a gourmet meal for Bob Weir and good eats for half of Warrensburg, we wind up grabbing some grub from a 24 hour fast food drive thru. RULE #5: Always take the time to feed yourself whenever possible or youll wind up eating stuff thats not very good for you!
