Ti ski program

TICONDEROGA There will be informational meting for the Ticonderoga Youth Commission Ski Program at Gore Mountain on Monday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Ticonderoga Middle School cafeteria. The Ti ski program is open to Ticonderoga students in grades 5-12. A representative from Gore Mountain will be on hand to share information with program participants and their parents/guardians. The Youth Commission program is a lift and lesson program. All participants must take the lessons, regardless of ability. There are lessons available for various levels. New this year is a helmet requirement. All participants age 17 and younger must wear helmets during their lesson. Helmets are available for $35 for youth commission participants on a pre-order basis. The 2008 program dates are Sunday, Jan. 6, 13, 20, and 27 and Feb. 3 and 10. The cost of the program is $120 without rental of ski equipment; and $192 with rental of equipment including a helmet. Pass applications will be available at the meeting and in Ticonderoga school offices. The deadline for completed applications and payment is Friday, Nov. 30.
