Quantcast

Reber

Talk about being spoiled! I wish to thank all who remembered my birthday with cards, calls, and cakes. You are all too generous! A special thank you to my niece Janice who brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. And to Marion Clark for my cake and little party! And to the Grange members who came with another cake, and of course, good fellowship! One card also included very interesting things about my friend, Ethel Doyle. Besides the fact that her daughter had been up from Florida, she told me she has made 94 afghans and still going. I knitted a sweater once, three times. Nearly had the yarn worn out before it finally became a garment to wear. And a note from Alan and Ada Hutchins told me that they enjoyed a short vacation in Maine, stopping in Freeport and Agunquit to shop and walk on the beach. They stopped in Claremont, N.H. to visit their daughter Janine, son-in-law Dave, and grandchildren, David and Brandi. They also went to lunch recently at Helen Sharrow's. Helen's daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and August Carlson brought lunch and a cake to celebrate the birthday of Helen's brother-in-law Morris. Madeline Blanchard called. She is one of the busiest people I know, both at home and in town. Was busy cleaning when we talked. I know I've heard that word, "cleaning", but it rings only a faint bell somewhere in the nether regions of what used to be my mind! Anyway, she did tell me Fred and Janet were coming up. They will be attending the Veteran's Day dinner which is served up at the Willsboro Methodist Church dining room and honors our veterans. They do nice things! The church and the Vets!
