Vehicle hits pole

Oct. 29, 2007 Two car accident with injuries, U.S. Route 7, New Haven. Residential burglary, Vermont Route 125, Ripton, cash and household items taken, Residential burglary, Hardscrabble Road, Monkton; safe containing cash was stolen. Report of cows on the railroad tracks off West Salisbury Road, Salisbury, creating a potential hazard. Landlord/ tenant dispute, U.S. Route 7, Leicester. Oct. 31 Residential burglary, Dutton Brook Road, Goshen; items stolen include, .22 handgun, medications and a television. Threats to a resident of Singing Cedars Road, Orwell One vehicle accident, with injuries, U.S. Route 7, Salisbury. Theft of tires from Town Garage, Main Street, New Haven. Resident of Kellogg Bay Road, Ferrisburgh, was the victim of a paving scam. Victim paid a contractor in advance for work, which was never done. Residential burglary, Hathaway Road, Goshen. Items stolen include a Sony laptop computer, tools and cash. Nov. 1 Family fight, Dean Road, Ferrisburgh. Theft of fence posts, from a residence on Shacksboro Road, Shoreham. Two vehicle accident, Vermont Route 30, Whiting. Domestic disturbance, Morgan Road, Monkton. Nov. 2 Theft of a bicycle, Basin Harbor Road, Ferrisburgh. Report of bad checks, Field Days Road, New Haven. Two vehicle accident, no injuries, River Road, New Haven. Vandalism to a window at a residence, Vermont Route 125, Ripton. Mobil Short Stop, U.S. Route 7, Ferrisburgh reported several drive off thefts of gasoline. Nov. 3 Theft of an ATV, from a residence on Rogers Road, Salisbury. ATV was recovered on U.S. Route 7 in Middlebury. Neighborhood dispute, Little Chicago Road, Ferrisburgh. Vandalism to a residence, Meehan Road, Bristol. Theft of a 2003 Yamaha dirt bike, from a residence on Peet Road, Cornwall. Threats made to a resident of Pea Ridge Road, Ferrisburgh. Nov. 4 Trespass complaint, River Road, Bristol. Residential theft, Jersey Street, Addison. Harassing telephone calls to a resident of Weybridge Road, Weybridge. Theft of construction materials, from a job site off U.S. Route 7, Ferrisburgh. Theft of 200 feet of cooper wire from a construction site off Swamp Road, in Cornwall. One car accident, Park Hill, Cornwall. Operator lost control, went off the road and collided with a group of trees. Oct. 16 Ferrisburgh Mobil Short Stop, U.S. Route 7, Ferrisburgh reported theft of food and cigarettes. Oct. 17 Threats made to a resident of U.S. Route 7, Leicester. Theft of a log splitter, River Road, New Haven. Harassing telephone calls received by a resident of Monkton Road, New Haven. Oct. 19 Harassing telephone calls to a resident of Field Days Road, New Haven. Family fight, Delorm Road, Leicester. Cited Stacey Anderson, age 41, of New Haven into Court for Driving with License Suspended, Vermont Route 116, Bristol. Oct. 20 Village Green Market, New Haven, reported several checks from a closed account had been cashed. One car rollover accident, no injuries, Route 17, Addison. Oct. 21 Car/telephone pole accident, Route 22A, Bridport. Accident was caused by operator inattention. Operator leaned over to pickup a piece of paper, lost control of the vehicle, went off the road and hit a telephone pole (see photo). Boundary line dispute between neighbors on Lake Dunmore Road, Leicester. Motorcycle accident, with injuries, Crown Point Road, Bridport. Theft of a 30-30 Winchester, lever action from a residence on Acre Drive, Addison. Car/ATV accident on Route 116, Starksboro. ATV operator left the scene without identifying himself.
