NFL Picks: THE game is coming

The outcome wasnt what I was hoping for, but the much-hyped Colts/Pats game was a great one. Neither team had their best stuff, but they still showed theyre both great team that will be tough to beat by any NFC team.

A few other observations I had from Week 9: I guess Green Bay isnt as bad as I thought they were; Buffalo is dealing with myriad injuries nicely; and the Jets are pitiful. Oh, yeah, and I despise the Cowgirls more than ever. Its hard to dislike Romo, though. He looks like hes having fun out there, which you dont see too often anymore in the NFL. On the other side of the coin, Owens has no redeeming qualities. He literally makes my stomach turn.

But enough about that. Debbie Aldous and Nancy Studnicky led the way in our little contest with 12-2 records. John Santasier solidified his spot at the top with a strong 11-3 showing. Im still suffering way down the list, but have every intention of making my way up the ladder, beginning this week.

Obviously, THE game of the week is The New York Football Giants vs. the Dallas Cowgirls. Its been a long, long time since this game has had such significance. And Big Blue will not disappoint! The Jints defense will knock the smile off Romos face, forcing him to run for his life all game long. And itll be Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer making the highlight reels, not T.O.

There are actually some other games on the schedule this week. The Cleveland/Pittsburgh game has potential and a Browns win wouldnt surprise me, but Im taking the Steelers. The Chargers host the Colts, and while I think San Diego is a pretty good team, I see the Colts taking some frustrations out on them in a blow-out.
