Friday, Nov. 9 at 11:30 a.m. is the Veterans Lunch with Sen. Betty Little as the guest speaker. Veterans, please call the school to reserve your spot! Friday, Nov. 9 is also the schools early dismissal drill. The students are dismissed 15 minutes early. This area wide drill is practice for a situation where school kids might have to go home early due to an emergency. Its that time again, dust off the holiday lights and start planning for the annual Holiday Lighting Contest sponsored by the Chamber, Lions and Quilters. More details to follow. The Newcomb Chamber of Commerce's Holiday Fair is back again!. Support local crafters and businesses on Nov. 16 from 3-6 p.m., Nov. 17 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Nov. 18 10am-3pm. This year we're hoping for a special visit from a very special holiday figure on Sunday. Need I say more? Ho Ho Ho. So, plan on bringing the kids! The PTSO will be having a bake sale at the Holiday Fair (Sat. only). If anyone would like to donate to the sale they can contact me at 582-5495. as well as, their time to man the booth during the day. Jackie LaCourse Looking ahead, there is a longer than usual Thanksgiving break for NCS students. There will be no school the entire week of November 19-23. This is due to an unusual calendar situation at State Education Department. Next Tattler is Nov. 19.
