Winter Farmers' Market Opens in Downtown Rutland

RUTLAND As fall arrives and our summer farmers markets end, many of us lament the loss of fresh, local foods. Not this year! Starting Saturday, November 3rd, the Winter Farmers Market in the old Strand Theater will open its doors. Enter the market through the Rutland Natural Foods Market: THE CO-OP at 77 Wales Street in downtown Rutland. The market will be held every Saturday from 10AM - 2PM. Throughout the winter, the Winter Farmers Market will be the place to keep in touch with farmers and friends. The array of local foods offered at the market is impressive, with vendors selling greens, carrots, potatoes, beets, onions, squash, garlic, cheese, meats, poultry, eggs, apples, salsa, jams, relishes, pickles, maple syrup, cider, dressings, handcrafted pottery and jewelry and much more.
