Ticonderoga Kiwanis take part in Make a Difference Day

PORT HENRY Members of the Ticonderoga Area Kiwanis Club from Ti, Hague and Crown Point braved the rain on Oct. 27,to participate in the national observance of Make a Difference Day. Kiwanians Joyce Cooper, Darlene Dorsett, Enid and Ken Engler, Howard Rathbun, and Steve Boyce collected 200 pounds of litter and trash from the La Chute walking trail. Kiwanis President Boyce said, On Make a Difference Day, people are encouraged to do something to help their neighbors and their neighborhood. By cleaning the La Chute trail, we feel weve made an important community resource more attractive and useable to area residents and visitors Boyce thanked PRIDE for providing trash bags and Ticonderoga Supervisor Bob Dedrick for making arrangements for free-of- charge disposal at Ticonderogas transfer station.
