TICONDEROGA The new Ticonderoga lapel pins are available from the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce. Being used as a fundraising item, the chamber has approximately 150 pins available on a first come, first served basis. Other than the Ticonderoga pencil, said Chamber Director Deb Malaney, its the first real Ticonderoga specific symbol our community has ever had. Wed like to see Ti residents wear them proudly. Lapel pins are also a very popular collectible with visitors as a memento of their travels. The pin represents Ticonderoga very well with a blend of mountains, lakes and historic elements, Malaney said. The lapel pins are round, a bit over one inch in diameter with shades of blues, greens, red, black with gold trim. The cloisonn_ins were designed and produced by Daniel Ferguson Designs of Morrisonville. The lapel pins sell for $6 and a clear-vue presentation case is available for $1 more. The pins are unique and well made, Malaney said. Stop in or call the chamber at 585-6619 for more information.
