Your opinion matters when it comes to managing the nations newest National Recreation Area located right here in Addison County, Vt.Moosalamoo National Recreation Area. Area residents are encouraged to answer a national survey now underway to determine future needs of the new recreation area. Moosalamoo is at a crossroads, according to Annemarie Linnehan who is involved in promoting the survey. Newly designated by the U.S. Congress as a National Recreation Area, Moosalamoo is a recreational treasure house that is little known outside the region. However, a small circle of outdoor enthusiasts have discovered its charms. We believe that there are many outdoor lovers who would flock to the area if they were made aware of what we have to offer them, said Linnehan. To that end we have developed a simple survey that will help us determine how to best communicate with those folks, presenting the area to them in ways that will resonate deeply and attract them to Moosalamoo. According to Linnehan, the survey is not your typical survey. It asks several open-ended questions designed to help us better understand your connections to this place and how best to craft messages that will tell others about the region, she said. Your input into this process is key to our success; if you would please take a moment to share with us your perceptions of Moosalamoo, it would be deeply appreciated.
