Master Gardeners come to North Creek

NORTH CREEK Ski Bowl Park Committee Chair Andi McKee asked a new class of master gardeners to see what they could do with the corner of Ski Bowl Park near the entrance where the water shed stands. It has slowly taken shape over the summer and fall. Julie Nathanson from Cooperative Extension in Warrensburg arranged for the Master Gardeners to have a volunteer day at the Ski Bowl Park in North Creek on Oct. 24. It was very successful. Two hundred bulbs were planted and the garden was raked and the beds were placed. Thanks to The Johnsburg Highway Department and Gore Mountain we have some beautiful rocks to help give our garden depth and character, said garden planner Judy Brown. Come take a look! Thanks to Kelly Nessel, Nancy and Joel Beaudin, Bobby Sutton, Anita Abrams, Kim Repscha, Jane Castaneda, Sue Goldbecker, Marjolaine Arsenault and Julie Nathanson for all of their hard work. A special thanks to Curt, Dan and Mike from the Highway Department and Mike and Keith from Gore. The rocks are awesome!
