Let there be light in Indian Lake

INDIAN LAKE The Town of Indian Lake is preparing to light up the community for the Christmas season by encouraging townspeople of Indian Lake, Blue Mountain Lake and Sabael to install creative holiday decorations and lighting. Let There Be Lights is the 2007 heme for Indian Lakes Holiday Lighting Contest. The contest, part of the towns annual Country Christmas Tour to be held Nov. 23 and 24, will consist of three categories: residences (houses and apartments,) businesses and community organizations. Organizations are encouraged to participate in the contest by adopting and decorating one of the more than dozen public/community buildings such as the Town Hall, Library, Legion Hall, Museum and Health Center. The contest was created to enhance community pride and holiday spirit among Indian Lake residents, businesses and organizations to drag out the holiday lights they already have from their attics or garages and wrap them around their homes, businesses and community buildings to join in the holiday festivities. Cash prizes will be awarded in each of the three categories for first ($75,) second ($50) and third ($25.) For more information, contact Linda Rusch, 648-5036 or Tim Pine, 648-5212.
