DAR requests donations

TICONDEROGA In honor of the upcoming Veterans Day, the Ticonderoga Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is requesting donations for the purchase of phone cards to be provided to the wounded men and women soldiers who arrive at the American Medical Center in Landsthul, Germany. The phone cards enable soldiers to call home while recovering. No administrative fees will be deducted and all money collected go directly to the purchase of phone cards, which must be acquired in Germany to be compatible with the countrys phone service. People who choose to donate to the GI Phone Card Project, can send along greeting notes to wounded soldiers. Handmade or purchased cards are always appreciated by them. Donations will be processed by Project Patriot Gayle Gallant, PO Box 305, Ticonderoga 12883. Call 585-7446 for more information. New members are always welcomed.
