M.A. Jerry and Company celebrating 25 successful years

PLATTSBURGH Mark A. Jerry is a man of success, one who has managed to recapture and carry on the tradition started by his grandfather, Vincent S., back in 1914 -the tradition of a trusted name in heavy-duty truck sales and service. Not only is M.A. Jerry and Company, Inc., celebrating 25 years of success, they are also celebrating the entry of daughter, Meghan, into the business, marking the fourth generation of the family name in the industry. Meghan, an honors graduate of Philadelphia Universitys business management program with a concentration in finance, makes an excellent addition to the company. Mark Jerry earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from Syracuse University in December 1970 and has a combined 36 years of experience in the industry. He is an Army Reserve retiree, who in the past has served as president of the Champlain Valley Management Club of Northern New York, and as past chairman and member of the board of the Development Corporation of Clinton County. Mark , a lifetime resident of Plattsburgh, is also a member of the Plattsburgh North Country Chamber of Commerce. Given that both he and his daughter Meghan are graduates of the Truck Marketing Institute of California, they will no doubt take M.A. Jerry to an even higher level in customer service and satisfaction. In celebration the Jerrys have implemented some exciting changes to the family-run business. M. A. Jerry was first established in the original Route 3 location in 1982 by Mark and Patricia Jerry. Seven years later, in response to company growth, Mark moved the business to a new 17,440 square-foot facility, conveniently located near exit 36 of I-87, on Route 22. They are pleased to announce the addition of a new director of parts to their staff and the renovation of their showroom. John McCorkell, brings with him extensive experience and knowledge and many new ideas from his former position at a larger truck dealership in Connecticut. The redesigned showroom with its fully stocked inventory will allow M.A. Jerry to better serve their customers. We will be open on Saturdays for customer convenience, and we offer other brands of parts to fit all makes and models (of trucks), said Meghan. Weve also added a full line of driver comfort accessories, such as jackets, mugs and personal items, she added. Im very excited about coming on board and all these new changes, said Meghan. M.A. Jerry specializes in the sales and service of International, Mitsubishi, Cummings and CAT engines, but they also offer full service for all makes and models of large trucks. M.A. Jerry, recently awarded ASE certification by the National Institute for Automotive Excellence, with a wonderfully dedicated team of 25 employees, a 16-bay drive-through shop, and the latest in state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic equipment, can take care of whatever its customers need in a timely and efficient manner. The 11,440 square-foot service department offers the ultimate in engine repair, as well as alignment and body work, including repairs and painting. Equipped with a powerful new tow truck, M.A. Jerry also offers emergency roadside service, towing and recoveries. If you are in the market for a heavy-duty truck, M.A. Jerry is the place to go. They offer everything from snowplows, to highway trucks, 18-wheelers, dump trucks, truck bodies, garbage haulers, sanders, cranes and even cargo vans. Mark Jerry has dedicated over three decades of his life to taking care of those in need of heavy duty trucks, parts and service. Together with his daughter, Meghan, they are hoping to carry on the Jerry family tradition for at least another 25 years. When it comes to sales and service, M. A. Jerry and Co., is truly a name many people in North Country have come to know and trust.
