Kimberly Bennett named Rotary Student of the Month

CHESTERTOWN Kimberly Bennett, daughter of John and Nancy Bennett of Chestertown, has been named Rotary Student of the Month for March, at North Warren Central School. Kimberly is a student who leads by example and has much to contribute to anything she undertakes. She is an integral part of the life of North Warren. She has been very active in the music program, participating and excelling in band and chorus every year and attending All County Chorus and Band each year. Kimberly has performed in school drama productions for the last four years and had a lead role in the production of Oklahoma! this year. She has also been a key player on the field hockey, basketball, and tennis teams since ninth grade. She has taken on leadership roles in Student Council, represented the school as the HOBY Ambassador, and participated on the Warren County Youth Board. Kimberly is a wonderful public speaker and, last year, won the local competition for the VFW Oratorical Contest, and she placed third in the District Contest. She has been an outstanding student and a member of the National Honor Society since 10th grade and has taken several college level courses. She has also received numerous academic awards throughout her high school career. Kimberly describes herself as funny, energetic, vibrant and outgoing and anyone who knows her would have to agree. Her statement I love life is evidence by all that she does. She always has a positive attitude and is very fun to be around. Spending time with her family and friends is very important to her. Kimberlys buoyant personality, coupled with her eagerness to learn is definitely a winning combination which will carry her a long way in the field of public relations. Kim has been accepted at St. Lawrence University and Hobart & William Smith Colleges.
