Safe Child IDs available in Moriah

PORT HENRY The New York State Department of Criminal Justice will be on hand at Moriah Central School to make Safe Child ID Cards for children ages 0-18 years on Tuesday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cards include fingerprint, photo, and registration in the NYS database. Registration forms can be picked up at any of the three school offices and must be completed and returned no later than Friday, May 4. As long as children are pre-registered, it is not necessary for a parent/guardian to accompany child during the ID process. Therefore IDs can be made at a convenient time during the school day and sent home with the student. Anyone who registered for the ID event scheduled to be held at Moriah Madness that was cancelled due to weather, does not have to re-register. This event has been set up by the PTA and is open to the public. Anyone wishing to bring a child that does not attend school is welcome, but must pre-register. For more information contact Rose Rice at 546-3623.
