Attorneys from the Essex County Bar Association will be at the Town Halls in the Towns of Chesterfield, Ticonderoga, Westport, Willsboro, North Elba (Lake Placid), Schroon Lake, St. Armand (Saranac Lake), Wilmington, Elizabethtown and Jay on Tuesday, May 1, to explain and prepare living will/health care proxies for the public in celebration of Law Day 2007. The living will/health care proxy is a document which allows an individual to specify his/her wishes concerning health care, including life support and end-of-life decisions, and appoints someone to administer those decisions once the patient is no longer able. This service is offered free of charge but interested parties must contact their Town Hall for times and to pre-register.
