Rosie's Girls Summer Camp has openings

Rosie's Girls Summer Program 2007, a three-week summer day camp for girls entering 6th 8th grades, has camper openings for the Essex Junction and Barre sessions. The 2007 dates and times are: Essex Junction: June 25 - July 13, 2007 Barre: July 16 - August 3, 2007 Monday - Friday, 8:45 a.m. - 5 p.m. Rosie's Girls is a unique and exciting program for middle school girls combining hands-on instruction in the skilled trades and non-traditional career skills with a rich array of expressive arts activities. The camp gives girls a chance to develop their own strength, power, and confidence in an atmosphere that is fun, encouraging, positive, and empowering as they do things like: - build a toolbox - design and wire a lamp - weld a metal sculpture - get under the hood of a car - design and build a model bridge - work on bicycles - learn self-defense - construct a community service project to donate to a local nonprofit - silkscreen t-shirts - swim for fun - practice yoga - voice opinions in a constructive setting Financial aid is available.
