The Fair Haven Union High School Symphonic and Jazz Bands are preparing to make a big splash with their spring performance. The annual Pops Concert is going "Under the Sea" for the theme of the production, which will be presented on Saturday, May 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school's gymnasium. Both the concert and jazz bands will perform a variety of selections including "Wipe Out" and a medley from "The Little Mermaid." According to Mike Lenox, the band's director, the students are focused on a spectacular performance. The Spring Pops Concert is the major fundraiser of the year for the FHUHS Band Boosters, the organization that supports the efforts of the band to learn, perform, travel, and compete. For further enjoyment, guests will be seated at tables, rather than bleachers, with reserved seating. Tickets are $5 per person and $20 per family of four (for immediate families of band members). Tickets will be available at the door for remaining seats. For reservations, call Kim Howard at 265-8267 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
