CSJ chooses Vickers for its keynote

The 48th Commencement of the College of St. Joseph will take place on Sunday, May 6, at 1 p.m. in the CSJ Athletic Center at 71 Clement Rd. in Rutland. This year's keynote address will be given by Donald Vickers, president and chief executive officer of the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation. Vickers has played a major role in the growth of VSAC for the past 35 years, and was appointed President and C.E.O. by the VSAC Board of Directors in 1990. His focus has always been student advocacy. He is active in numerous higher education organizations including, Vermont Higher Education Council, Vermont Commission on Higher Education Funding (CHEF), Education Finance Council (EFC), and the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs (NCHELP). He is a past member of the Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance, and he served for 12 years as chair man and member of the Essex Town School Board.
