Ticonderoga Board seeks advice

TICONDEROGA Things are going pretty well in Ticonderoga, but they could be better. Thats why the town board has entered into an agreement with a management consultant to review the workings of each town department. Theyve worked with small communities to develop options for improvements, Supervisor Bob Dedrick said of the management firm. Our goal is to improve and enhance each of our departments. Dedrick had praise for all town departments and employees, but believes an outside expert can help. Of particular interest, Dedrick noted is the Ticonderoga Police Department. He pointed out in the past several years the police department has had a high employee turnover rate, mostly because of wage considerations. In no way is this to be misconstrued as a way to eliminate the police department, Dedrick stressed. The idea is to help the police and everyone else. We want to improve.
