Library news If you are interested in supporting our community by serving on the Stony Creek Free Library Board of Trustees, please stop in the library during business hours to pick up an application. Library hours are: Monday and Wednesday 5 to 9 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 1 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The April 10 meeting of the board has been rescheduled for April 17. Tutoring is available for students at the Stony Creek Free Library on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. 50 Plus news The club will be having a luncheon at the Stony Creek town hall on Monday, April 2 at noon. Please bring a small dish to place on the buffet table. The regular monthly meeting will follow the luncheon at 1 p.m. Brian Chevalier Brian "Chip" Chevalier, Adirondack songwriter, will be appearing Friday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall at no charge. Chip will perform a collection of songs he composed about the history and folklore of the Adirondacks. Thank you Thank you to all who bought daffodils that sponsored the American Cancer Society. Easter Cantata An Easter Cantata will be conducted by Nancyann Rayder at the 11 a.m. service on April 8 at the Knowlhurst Baptist Church. It will include a special number by the choir, duets by Pastor and Mrs. Fullam and Theresa Rayder and April Kile, solos by Elizabeth Braman and Nancyann Rayder. Also a special part by Sarah Kile. Services will be as follows: 8 a.m. Sunrise Service, 9 a.m., breakfast, 10 a.m. Sunday School, 11 a.m. Morning worship and Easter Cantata. Transfer station The transfer station and recycling center is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and is closed Monday and Tuesday.
