ELIZABETHTOWN Kinney Drugs, a leading community pharmacy and retail business in New York and Vermont, is planning a grand opening celebration at their new Elizabethtown location on Saturday, March 31. The planned festivities will take place at the new freestanding location at 7550 Court Street in Elizabethtown. With this new layout, the pharmacy department will include a convenient drive-through window and expanded health care products and services. The new store will also offer free prescription delivery, EZ Refill phone-in and online refill services and free Life Vials, a vial which contains important medical information in the event of an emergency. The new store will have significantly more space for such departments as photo processing intended to make developing film and digital photos simple. The store will also offer the convenience to pick up "basics at the expanded grocery department. The Elizabethtown Kinney Drugs grand opening festivities will kick off Saturday, March 31 at 7 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Several clinics will be offered including a free diabetic screening provided by Elizabethtown Community Hospital from 10 a.m. 2 p.m. Customers will have the opportunity to learn more about colorectal cancer from 10 a.m. 2 p.m. and will receive a free screening kit (restrictions apply) provided by the Partnership for Healthy Living of Essex County. Olay will be on site conducting free demonstrations and offering samples of their products. In addition, the first 500 customers will receive a free one liter of Pepsi or 25 oz. Kinney Spring water; free coffee and doughnuts and have the opportunity to win prizes.
