Training seminar offered

LAKE PLACIDThe Champlain Watershed Improvement Coalition of New York, Inc. (CWICNY) will sponsor a three-day Soils, Inspections and Installations of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Training seminar on April 3-5, at Crowne Plaza from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. This three day seminar will provide an introduction to the importance of soil classification, how to conduct field investigations, realty transfer inspections, recognizing failure in conventional and alternative systems and how to achieve even more successful installations. It includes certification by NYS DEC for wastewater treatment operators, NYS DOS for Code Enforcement Officers and the NY Board of Education for land surveyors and professional engineers. Participants will receive reference books, plus certificates of completion upwards of 21 contact hours. Registration deadline is March 27. These programs are presented by SUNY Delhi in cooperation with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) and the New York State Onsite Wastewater Treatment Training Network (OTN).
