Willsboro hosts area youth in festival of music

The Essex County Music Association hosted the 2007 Essex All-County festival on March 8 at Willsboro Central School. The event attracted over 200 student musicians from 14 schools performing in four different groups. Area students participating in the event included: Jazz band: baritone sax: Zakarias Saulsgiver of Westport; trombone: David Golembeck of Westport; piano: Daniel Linder of Westport. Concert Band: clarinet: Emily Williams of Elizabethtown-Lewis, Camille Peasely of Westport, and Greta Jerdo of Westport; bass clarinet: Krissy Bullock of Westport; tenor sax: Louise McGoldrick of Westport; baritone sax: Brendan Welch of Willsboro; trumpet: Riley Diemand of Elizabethtown-Lewis and Marybeth LaRose of Elizabethtown-Lewis. Womens Chorus: soprano: Stephanie Russell of Westport, Taylor McCabe of Keene, Megan Ostroski of Keene, Louise Sardella of Keene, Kristin Linder of Westport, Stephanie Stevens of Westport, Virginia Dorset of Westport, Amy Ignatuk of Keene, Shannon Melville of Keene, Nycole Gifford of Keene, Micelle Sardella of Keene; altos: Kelsey Marvin of Elizabethtown-Lewis, Courtney Marvin of Elizabethtown-Lewis, Kelsey Gibson of Elizabethtown-Lewis, Brooke Hartson of Keene, Kate Gothner of Keene, Emma Nye of Keene. Pianist Dan Linder of Westport, this years Essex County Music Association Scholarship recipient, gave a special performance.
