Marian Heath cards return to the Stagecoach

POTTERSVILLE Those Marian Heath greeting cards that people loved at the old Apple Tree in Chestertown are back in the area, thanks to former Apple Tree owner Joan Conway. Conway is one of the merchants at the Stagecoach in Pottersville, where mostly old, but some new, merchandise is sold. We call it antiques and home decor, Conway said. The merchants of the Stagecoach sell mainly antiques, along with some new items. In Conways case, those new items are Marian Heath cards. We had such success when we had them at the Apple Tree in Chestertown, she said. Theyre inexpensive, starting at only 45 cents and even the highest priced cards are cheaper than most retailers. Her cards are for all occasions, from first to 100th birthday, St. Patricks Day, Easter, new babies, get well and the rest. Conway closed the Apple Tree in 2003 and recently opened her new business in the Stagecoach, which has many merchants. She said the Marian Heath cards still have some popular styles from years past. She has sold the cards for many years at different venues, from Conways Country Store in Wevertown to Conways Lake Manor, and now in Pottersville.
