Dragon joins Denton staff with new Kidsville publication

Publisher: Welcome to the North Country, Truman Truman: Thank you Dan, it is my honor to join your publishing team at Denton Publications here in Clinton County. My first visit to New York State.

Publisher: It's been a very, very long time since weve had a dragon in the North Country and of course, youll be the first dragon weve ever had on staff at Denton.

Truman: I know your company is an equal opportunity employer and one of my missions here is to encourage diversity and break down any barriers of discrimination or prejudices of any kind. I may be the only dragon in the area, but please, I want to be treated just like everyone wants to be treated, and so far Ive blended in wonderfully and have been warmly welcomed by the staff and those Ive met here in the North Country.

Publisher: Can you tell our readers a little more about Kidsville News and your role with the new paper?

Truman: Absolutely, Kidsville News is an education and literacy newspaper that will be made available to every child K through 5 in Clinton County. The paper will have three main components; first, its an education tool for the student, its an interactive newspaper full of puzzles and challenging games to stimulate the learning process and lastly, but just as important, its a resource for both the parent and teacher to assist them in extending the learning process 24/7 all year long.

Publisher: Im glad you mentioned that the paper will be available every month, including traditional vacation time.

Truman: Kidsville News has developed such a strong bond with children, parents and teachers around the country, that I think we would be making a big mistake only publishing while school was in session. Together with our wonderful partners and sponsors well make certain every child has a copy of Kidsville News free of charge.
