Stephen Gratto will be joining us again this year. He will be riding his unicycle in the parade, and will do a performance at Byron Park after the parade. The performance will include stilt walking, balloon making and a juggling act. If you missed this show last year then you missed such things as Stephen balancing a chair on his chin, balancing someone on his shoulders as he rides a unicycle, and eight strong men holding him up as he walks a rope. It is a great show for both kids and adults.
The Byron Park festivities will also include musical entertainment by Adirondack Acoustic. The Country Christmas Tour will be selling 50/50 raffles, girl scouts will be selling cotton candy and popcorn, and the chamber of commerce will have glow necklaces available. The evening will finish with a fireworks display at approximately 9:30 pm.
Saturday, July 7, will see the Annual Kids Fishing Derby at Byron Park starting at 8 a.m. This event is sponsored by the Indian Lake/Blue Mountain Lake Fish and Game Association. Also at the Byron Park Building there will be a FREE Child ID Program from 9:00 am-1:00pm, sponsored by Warrensburg Masonic Lodge. Check out the United Methodist Churchs Bazaar and Bake Sale. There will be many homemade baked goods and handmade items for sale. It all starts at 9:30 a.m. and goes to 1:30 p.m. at the church on Main Street. In Blue Mountain Lake the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts will be holding their annual auction starting at 10:00 am and finishing up at 2 p.m. This is a great opportunity to find a treasure and is fun to participate in or just sit back and watch. Also the Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. will be holding their Annual Chicken Barbeque at the fire hall. Stop in after 4 p.m. to enjoy this delicious meal but make sure you get there early because they will more then likely sell out.
