Mooers Camp Meeting: over 100 years of camping, friendship, and spiritual fun

Ingersoll is Pastor of the First Wesleyan Church in Fredericton, where he enjoys life with his wife, Elaine, and three children. Proudly, he is also a grandfather.

Joel Wydysh, originally from Laconia, NY, is a graduate of Bethany Bible College in New Brunswick. He currently serves as Assistant Pastor at the Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church in Canada, where he lives with his wife, Vicky, and three sons.

On opening night song evangelist Dan Schall will share his music and ministry experiences that have taken him to many eastern state crossroad towns. Schalls usual stutter completely subsides when he sings of his love for Jesus and his concern for his fellow mans eternity.

Reverend Sam W. Butler will also be attending the Mooers Camp Meeting this year, offering sermons at 10:30 a.m., and again at 7 p.m. each day from Aug 2-6. Having been a pastor for 40 years and Evangelist of the Wesleyan Church another four, Butler finds it a joy to be at camp for a great outpouring of Gods spirit.

August 7 is Missionary Day at camp, with special guest Zachariah Motts, who will share his experiences from Japan (same times as noted above). Motts, who once wanted to become a veterinarian, had a life changing experience when he attended a missionary trip to Honduras. It was then that he realized his true passion and followed his desire to share the love of Jesus with the people of Japan, one of the most unreached nations of the world.

Reverend Robert Howard, who has served as senior Pastor for the Church of the Nazarene in Uxbridge, MA, for the past 20 years, will offer services from Aug 8-12 (same times as noted above).

Just off Route 11 in Mooers, the one hundred-plus year-old campsite nestled under the towering pines along the shores of the Great Chazy River has privately owned camps as well as cottages, rooms, and tent and trailer sites available at prices ranging from $3 - 15 per night. The dining hall offers breakfast, lunch and supper, with special dinners on Sunday and Missionary Day. Also on site are a book store and a snack bar.
