SARANAC LAKE The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is unveiling its latest project, a corporate guide designed to answer questions about the region to people wishing to relocate their business to Saranac Lake.
The 24-page Saranac Lake Corporate Guide highlights various areas pertinent to businesses, including an overview of the region, its proximity to large urban centers, outstanding quality of life issues, its pro-business climate, excellent educational resources, vibrant economy, multi-faceted labor force, investment opportunities, arts community and access to unlimited recreational opportunities.
This guide complements the Chambers services when we are approached by people wanting to move to our community or relocate their business here, said Chamber Executive Director Sylvie Nelson. It puts into one document what we used to have in various forms.
It is professionally designed to highlight the pluses of doing business in SaranacLake.
Saranac Lake has never had such a document before where all the general information is gathered into one document, Nelson said. It was needed and thanks to the work of the volunteers and Economic Development Committee, we were able to publish it.
The printing of the guide was made possible thanks to the support of sponsors which include Adirondack Bank, Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Guide Boat Realty and NBT Bank.
As with many of our projects, the Chamber depends on the generous support of sponsors and once again, the business community realized the Saranac Lake Corporate Guide was needed and they supported it wholeheartedly, said Nelson.
Five hundred copies were printed for this first edition of the Corporate Guide and are available at the Chamber and its sponsors, as well as the Village of Saranac Lake. The Chamber will soon upload the guide on its website at
