Chamber plans Sadie Hawkins Dance

A Sadie Hawkins Dance where the girls ask the guys is being planned for Saturday, March 3 from 7:30-11 p.m. Nancy Decker, a member of the chamber, said the event targets all ages. The Chamber has asked Addison Mehr, a sophomore at Westport Central School, to serve as DJ. Water and soda will be sold. Admission is $5 per couple, and $2.50 for singles. The funds raised will go toward Heritage House operation costs. Our idea was to get something moving to use the Heritage House, said Decker. The Heritage House was opened last summer, and is meant to serve as a community center. The center has hosted movies by the Champlain Valley Film Society, and hosts the meetings of the The Champlain Valley Fencing Club. The Chamber of Commerce is hoping that other organizations will be interested in using the facility.
