Sunny days on the lake

LAKE GEORGE The Lake George Winter Carnival is enjoying nearly ideal weather this year, despite a warm early winter. With ice thickening daily, last weekend saw vehicles out on the ice, skipping water, racing or just taking in the scenery. The Duanesburg Skydiving Clubs Cessna took off and landed on the lake and colorful parachutes floated to the lake as skydivers braved the cold to jump. Even Shrek was seen on motorized vehicles at the carnival last weekend. This weekend, the third weekend of the carnival, will see many of the same activities, with new sanctioned snowmobile races.
