Indian Lake Central hosts musician

INDIAN LAKE Indian Lake Central School students hosted Jo Sallins, a musician educator, on Wednesday, February 7. Mr. Sallins, assisted by Jesse Casinghino, led three workshops in the morning and two performances in the afternoon. He worked with students in grades Kindergarten through 12 to discuss how music allows people to express themselves. Through his interactive workshops, Sallins encouraged the students to use a variety of different percussion instruments to create a group "concert" of their own and then brought several of these students back up during the afternoon performances to show off what they had learned.
